This vambrace was a quick build for my wife as we were attending the local renaissance fair, and she had chosen to wear a female version of the Connor costume. Appalled by the giant piece of vinyl they supplied as a vambrace, I stepped in to make things right. This was the first time I had made a vambrace for anyone but myself, so I had to take great care to measure and re-measure her arm.
Inspired by this video I found online, I used my tooling leather, a thinner leather, and suede for the main portions of the vambrace, bringing it together with an old Connor emblem from my first Connor costume, rivets, and some eyelets. You can learn more about it in the vlog or check out our “Assassins at the Renaissance Fair” for the whole costume brought together.
