ALTAIR BELT

Altair’s belt was my first major leather project undertaking. After getting a crash course in leather work from my super talented brother-in-law, I used my previous foam versions as inspiration in the creation of this belt. I definitely learned a lot on this one, but I was and still am very pleased with its final form. Many of the details were actually carved instead of sewn, but I think it still looks fantastic. 

While it did not get screen time during its creation, later we did take out the full Altair costume for a photoshoot in the Arizona desert, and I think the photos speak for themselves. You can read about the cosplay shoot or watch the vlog on the photoshoot for more information.
